{"id":9632,"date":"2026-08-30T14:20:02","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T21:20:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wrsaonline.org\/newsite\/?page_id=9632"},"modified":"2026-09-06T10:35:41","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T17:35:41","slug":"stough-johansson-springer-award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wrsaonline.org\/newsite\/stough-johansson-springer-award\/","title":null,"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Regional Science Springer Award is now the&nbsp;<strong>Stough-Johansson Springer Award<\/strong>&nbsp;for outstanding papers in the field of Regional Science, in honor of Roger Reece Stough, Annals Co-Editor-in-Chief from 1994-2011, and B\u00f6rje Johansson, Annals Co-Editor-in-Chief from 1994 \u2013 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The prize is awarded annually for the best paper presented by an early-career scholar (no more than five years&nbsp;post-PhD)&nbsp;at the Annual Meeting of the&nbsp;<em>Western Regional Science Association<\/em>&nbsp;and published in&nbsp;<em>The Annals of Regional Science<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authors are invited to submit their winning paper to&nbsp;<em>The Annals of Regional Science<\/em>, official Journal of the WRSA, where it will undergo peer review and revision.
