The official journal of the Western Regional Science Association, The Annals of Regional Science, is inviting applications for the role of Co-Editor-in-Chief (Asia-Pacific).

Call for Proposals for Co-Editor-in-Chief (Asian-Pacific)

Expressions of interest are invited for the role of Co-Editor-in-Chief (Asia-Pacific) for The Annals of Regional Science, the official journal of the Western Regional Science Association (WRSA).

The Annals of Regional Science is led by a team of three Editors-in-Chief, representing the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. The current Editors-in-Chief are Alessandra Faggian, Hong Sok (Brian) Kim, and Carlianne Patrick.

The role of Editor-in-Chief for Asia is open for new appointment from January 1, 2027 (a later start date in the course of 2027 is possible upon agreement), for a three year term (renewable upon mutual agreement). Expressions of interest should be submitted by October 31, 2026.

Candidates should be distinguished scholars in regional and urban studies with a strong publication record. They should be RSAI members and based in the Asia-Pacific region, or otherwise have substantial expertise relating to the region. Affiliation with WRSA is encouraged and Co-EiCs are expected to attend the annual WRSA meetings. Expressions of interest should be sent to Barbara.Fess@springer.com and should include CV, a brief summary of editorial experience, and a statement outlining the editorial philosophy, vision and objectives for the journal.

The appointment will be made jointly by Springer Nature, the current team of editors, and the WRSA Board of Directors.
